Sep 30, 2019 - Thought Leadership Series Event with Robert Ruciecki, Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Houston
PolChamTX hosted Mr. Robert Rusiecki, the Consul General of the Republic of Poland in the Houston Consulate. The event was open to our Members and held in The Canon's new campus in Houston. We had a great conversation about the state of the Polish community in Texas as well as the progress of Poland's economic development in the last several years.
With the growing importance of Texas and the Gulf Coast region, the Houston Polish Consulate opened in 2017 to foster relations in the region, to serve polish citizens in the area with services such as passport renewal and voting as well as serving individuals in the region who require visas to travel to Poland. Note that US citizens have visa-free travel to Poland for business and tourism
Aug 23, 2019 - Meeting with Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone
The PolChamTX board met with the leadership of the Wałbrzych Special Economic zone and signed a Memorandum of Understanding declaring mutual cooperation for the economic and social development of the two regions. The Wałbrzych SEZ includes the city of Wrocław, Poland's 4th largest city and the capital of the Lower Silesian Province.

Introductory Meeting with Grupa Azoty - March 26th, 2018
Members of the Chamber's leadership were able to meet in Houston with several leaders from Grupa Azoty during their visit to a chemicals conference in San Antonio. The meeting was a fruitful introduction and the Chamber hopes to continue working with Grupa Azoty and other Polish companies looking beyond Poland.
Trans-Atlantic Energy Security Forum III - March 19th, 2018
Hosted by LNG Allies at the Petroleum Club of Houston, the event featured business and government delegates from Poland and Lithuania as well as senior business leaders from businesses with plans to expand LNG (Liquified Natural Gas) exports from the US Gulf Coast.
After the conference, the Chamber had the opportunity to lunch with Minister Naimski and the Polish delegation.
This was a limited event with invitations extended to Chamber members only.

Social Mixer - March 1st 2018
We had a fantastic opening event for the Chamber! With attendees covering a range of industries, interests and visitors from afar from San Antonio to Croatia.
We were excited by the energy in the group and look forward to the attendees to spread the word about the Chamber, to join us as we begin to grow and to provide us with many great ideas as we work to serve the Polish American business community.
April 26, 2018 - Meeting with Poland’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Science & Higher Education, Mr. Jaroslaw Gowin.
April saw the visit of the Republic of Poland’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Science and Higher Education, Mr. Jaroslaw Gowin. Discussions included the potential for a future Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Chamber and Polish Universities, although further work to define the potential scopes will be needed. The Minister’s visit was also an opportunity for one of our corporate members, the cancer drug development company
Moleculin, to meet and discuss collaboration
opportunities in the biotech sector.
February, 2018 - Texas A&M Mayes School of Business visit.
In February, a few members travelled to Texas A&M at
the invitation of Dr. Jim Mazurkiewicz to meet with
representatives from the Mays Business School to discuss
potential cooperation with the Chamber as well as an off-
campus meeting with the Research Valley Partnership
(www.researchvalley.org) where opportunities for
coordinating future trade missions were discussed.
Dec 14, 2017 - Meeting with Mr. Witold Waszczykowski, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland.
The Chamber Board was honored to host Mr. Witold Waszczykowski, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland at the Greater Houston Partnership in downtown Houston to discuss the existing business ties between the State of Texas and Poland, as well as to explore future cooperation. Mr. Waszczykowski and his delegation were visiting Texas to celebrate the official opening of the new Polish Consulate in Houston. Topics covering the energy, medical, finance, technology and innovation industries were discussed. (Mr. Waszczykowski is 6th from the right in the below event photo)
