Sep 30, 2019  - Thought Leadership Series Event with Robert Ruciecki, Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Houston

PolChamTX hosted Mr. Robert Rusiecki, the Consul General of the Republic of Poland in the Houston Consulate. The event was open to our Members and held in The Canon's new campus in Houston.  We had a great conversation about the state of the Polish community in Texas as well as the progress of Poland's economic development in the last several years.

With the growing importance of Texas and the Gulf Coast region, the Houston Polish Consulate opened in 2017 to foster relations in the region, to serve polish citizens in the area with services such as passport renewal and voting as well as serving individuals in the region who require visas to travel to Poland. Note that US citizens have visa-free travel to Poland for business and tourism

The PolChamTX board met with the leadership of the Wałbrzych Special Economic zone and signed a Memorandum of Understanding declaring mutual cooperation for the economic and social development of the two regions.  The Wałbrzych SEZ includes the city of Wrocław, Poland's 4th largest city and the capital of the Lower Silesian Province.
