PolChamTX in Action: Advocating for a Houston - Warsaw Direct Flight

PolChamTX is actively working to establish a direct flight connection between Texas and Poland. A nonstop route between Houston and Warsaw, a journey of approximately 10 hours, would unlock enormous potential for business, investment, and cultural exchange between two of the most dynamic economies on their respective continents.

Houston is the natural starting point: as the energy capital of the world, home to America's largest port, and the most internationally connected city in Texas, it offers the strongest foundation for a direct route to Warsaw, with potential to expand to other Texas cities as demand grows.

• Strategic Cooperation in the Energy Sector: Poland leads efforts to strengthen energy cooperation between the CEE region and Texas. LNG and crude oil imported by Poland mainly originate from Texas, and Poland becomes a hub for energy resource logistics through the Three Seas Initiative. A direct air connection will facilitate permanent representations and deeper cooperation in this realm.

• Warsaw as a Gateway for American Investment into the CEE Region: Poland, the economic powerhouse of Central & Eastern Europe — the European Union's fastest-growing region and the future of the Old Continent — creates enormous investment opportunities for Texan companies, including large infrastructure, as well as energy and defense-related projects. Warsaw is already the transportation hub of the CEE region with direct flights to Budapest, Bucharest, Prague, Vilnius, and many others.

• Houston as a Gateway to the US for CEE Companies: Texas, one of the fastest-growing states in America with the second-largest economy in the country and eighth-largest in the world, is home to the 'Texas Triangle' megaregion of 20 million people. Houston, America's largest port, offers the best conditions for European companies to enter the American market.

• New Tourist Destinations and Travel Connections: CEE cities like Cracow, Budapest, and Prague are rich in history and culture, remarkably safe, affordable, and known for their warm hospitality toward American visitors. Warsaw is also directly connected to key transportation hubs in Asia and the Middle East, which is important given Houston's status as the most ethnically diverse metropolis in the US.
